Elmer Christensen, 79, of Boelus, died Friday at a St. Paul nursing home.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Dannebrog The Rev. Walter Laughlin officiated. Burial was in the Loup Fork Cemetery near Boelus.
Mr. Christensen was born Jan. 26, 1893, at Boelus, the son of Niels and Maren Petersen.
He was educated at a rural school near Boelus. He later farmed in Dannevirke and Hebron areas and also near Almena, Kan. In 1957 he returned to the Dry Creek area near Boelus where he had since resided.
He is survived by four brothers, Thorvald of Dannebrog, Carl of Grand Island, Theodore of Cairo and Otto of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
